How do I pray for a child who is being bullied?

Ask for their protection, and ask that they find one true friend — one is usually enough to change a childhood. Ask that their sense of who they are not be written by people who are cruel to them. Pray for the courage to act too: prayer does not replace speaking to the school and standing between your child and the harm. And of those who hurt them, ask that they stop and change. Never pray against a child, not even that one.

The word is machaseh — a refuge: the shelter you ask God to be for them where you cannot stand guard yourself.
