How do I face the fear of death — mine or a loved one's?

Do not try to argue yourself out of the fear; it is honest. But notice what it is doing: turning the whole of life into the waiting room of its ending. Ask instead to live the time you have with your eyes open — to love plainly, to say the unsaid, to leave less unspoken. A life met fully is the only real answer fear ever gets.

The word is emunah — trust: not the removal of the dark valley, but the promise that you do not walk through it alone.

From the sources “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.” — Psalm 23
