I've lost all sense of meaning. What now?
Do not wait to feel meaning before you act; that is backwards. Meaning is not found sitting still, it is met while moving. Start under the feeling, with the plainest true thing: I am alive, I can do one small good today. Do that one thing. Say to God the honest sentence — I have lost the thread — because naming the emptiness is itself the first move out of it.
The word is tikvah — hope: in the old image, a cord, a thread you hold even when you cannot see where it leads.
